The garden Club of Cumberland was the dream of Helen Miller who officially organized the club in January 9, 1956.  The club was then federated in January 8, 1957.  The Garden Club of Cumberland is a member of the
National Garden Clubs, Inc. (http://www.gardenclub.org), The Central Atlantic Region (http://www.ngccar.org), and the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland (http://www.fgcofmd.org).  The National Garden Club provides educational and resource networking opportunities for members.  Love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibilities are encouraged.  Our club projects and activities are based on these goals.
